This month Jenny met with Elaine Browne, founder of Perspective in Ireland to talk all things friendship and peer support. Elaine was motivated to share her experience of peer-supported recovery with anyone with mental health challenges so Perspective was born in 2019. Like Grow Mental Health, the Perspective model is based on the knowledge and wisdom of those who have experienced mental health struggles and use the wisdom they collected through their journey to help others. Peer to peer, friend to friend – the power of a shared experience in recovery is immeasurable.
